Solstice

June 21, 2011 § Leave a comment

On this solstice, the day where light and dark are equal, the day that welcomes summer, the point where the light of our days start to become shorter, Oren spent the morning on her swing gazing at the sun.

I’ve been feeling such gratitude for all things in my life and on this solstice I want to give thanks for some of my favorite things that summer brings.

Luscious raspberries ready for us!

This is what the raspberries look like after we come through. 🙂

Our morning harvest of raspberries, blackberries, and the beginnings of our blueberries.

Oh, the flowers!

A freshly picked bunch filled with zinnias, echinacea, st. john’s wort, and butterfly bush.

A friend of ours found this little babe on the side of the road with his mama that was hit by a car. Our friend has taken him home and is giving him lots of love. It’s so amazing to be in this babe’s presence. He’s pure sweetness and love.

Today, I welcome the sun, summer, abundance and I’m filled with gratitude for all aspects of my life.
Happy Solstice!
