“Miksang, at its most basic level, is concerned with uncovering the truth of pure perception. We see something vivid and penetrating, and in that moment we can express our perception without making anything up—nothing added, nothing missing. Totally honest about what we see—straight shooting.” ~from the miksang contemplative photography website~

Three years ago this evening, an opening began.
My daughter decided to start her journey earthside…
In a sense, I’d been preparing my whole life for it, yet when the moment came to step into this birthing of another, I felt remarkably unprepared, yet incredibly excited and willing to step into an unknown.
This morning as my now almost 3 year old rested on me, we watched the sunrise and I was flooded with memories of the process that unfolded to bring her into this world.
I am full of gratitude for the strong women who gathered to support me in labor who showed me what strength, courage and trusting in Spirit can be in birthing a babe.
As I remember the beginning of labor today, I sense this continued remembrance and reverence that I will carry with me until we celebrate our little one’s third birthday on Sunday. (That’s right folks, 36 hours of labor!)

Transitions have been quite abundant as we exit another year and move forward at sometimes seemingly warp-speed…
In the last 6 months alone, a very sudden move to Vermont presented itself and every role, environment, and relationship has a new meaning and feel to it. I said yes to something much bigger than I could’ve imagined and I’m now in process of expanding into an ever bigger version of myself than I had previously deemed possible.
In just the last few months since we’ve landed in Vermont we’ve experienced so much beauty and inspiration. Below are a few of my favorite views so far.
